About Race for Life York 10k
A 5 km obstacle course takes place at The Knavesmire, York Racecourse on 2 May 2027. Participants navigate a mix of grass, surfaced and trail paths, tackling climbing, crawling and sliding challenges around the predominantly flat terrain, which includes some uphill and downhill sections. Staggered start waves run every 15 minutes, with an accessible route available if needed. The event is for those aged 13 and over.
The venue offers on-site refreshments, toilets and free parking, including dedicated Blue Badge spaces. General parking is accessed via Knavesmire Road with a 200 m walk on grass; volunteer parking involves roughly a 300 m walk. York train station is approximately 1.5 miles away, and an electric vehicle charging point is available nearby on Nunnery Lane. Cycling racks are not at the venue but can be found close by on Loverose Way.
