About Race on the Chase
Race on the Chase takes runners around Salisbury Racecourse on a 10 km trail route through the Wiltshire downlands on 27 September 2026. The course follows ancient droving tracks across grassy field margins, woodland paths and turf within Martin Down Nature Reserve, with 133 metres of vertical climb. Runners pass through rural villages and open countryside dotted with historic features including a Roman villa site, Bronze Age burial mounds and Iron Age earthworks.
The racecourse venue sits about 3 miles from Salisbury city centre and offers permanent toilets, hot showers and ample hard parking.
