About Race The Light
Race The Light takes runners across estuarine trails through the Flete Estate near Holbeton on 28 November 2026. The 8.5-mile Classic course features two crossings of the River Erme estuary, woodland loops and a steep uphill finish near the Schoolhouse Devon restaurant. The route starts from an estuary slipway and winds through the privately owned estate before the final push to the finish.
A head torch is mandatory for this trail event. The course is fully marked and marshalled, with first aid available on course and at headquarters. There is a three-hour cut-off related to the second estuary crossing. Runners must be at least 17 years old on the event date.
