About Race to the Stones
Taking place over 10-11 July 2027, Race to the Stones invites runners to tackle one of two trail routes along the Ridgeway, Britain's oldest path. Participants can choose between 50 km and 100 km distances, both navigating through the Chiltern Hills and North Wessex Downs Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty before reaching the finish at Avebury Stone Circle, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The event follows accessible trail terrain combining woodland, riverside and ridge sections. Extended cut-off times and medical support throughout the course are designed to support a wide range of runners and walkers. An all-inclusive basecamp offers overnight accommodation for those taking on the longer distance.
