About Rad Dau Gopa Aberystwyth Twin Peaks Race
This trail race takes runners over two prominent peaks around Aberystwyth, combining gravel paths, rocky ascents and tarmac sections across the local landscape. Starting and finishing at the bandstand on Aberystwyth Promenade, the 12 km senior course heads south past the harbour before tackling Pen Dinas—a gravel and rocky climb topped by a hillfort—then returns to the promenade to ascend Constitution Hill via rocky paths and the cliff railway crossing, finishing with a tarmac descent back to the start.
Organised by Clwb Athletau Aberystwyth Athletics Club on Sunday 11 October 2026, the event provides race HQ facilities including informal bag storage and toilets at the bandstand, plus water stations near the harbour and at the finish. St John Ambulance provides first aid cover. A separate junior course also features on the day, with prizes awarded across age categories and team competitions.
