About Ranger Ultras Loop the Loop

A 24-hour trail running challenge awaits at Loop the Loop, held at the Peak Centre in Edale, Peak District on 5 and 6 June 2027. Participants have a full day and night to complete as many laps as possible of a fixed 21.7 km loop with approximately 930 m of ascent per lap. Runners can vary their approach on subsequent circuits, switching between clockwise and anticlockwise directions as they choose.

There are no intermediate cut-offs; only completed loops within the 24-hour window count towards the final tally. Navigation support includes GPX files and on-course notes, with water available at a checkpoint and Ranger Safety Team cover both at headquarters and on the trail. Finishers receive a handmade eco-trophy inscribed with their loop count. Accommodation options on site include hostel beds, camping with personal tent, and log cabin pods. Meals, snacks and hot and cold drinks are provided throughout the weekend. Participants must be at least 20 years old. Public parking is available in Edale village, with Edale station approximately 200 metres from the venue.
