Rasselbock Backyard Ultra returns to Stapleford Hall on 3 July 2027, hosting a last-person-standing format race on an estate east of Melton Mowbray. The event follows the Backyard Ultra structure: runners tackle a trail loop every hour, with competition continuing until only one participant remains able to start another lap. Expected elevation gain sits between 30 and 50 metres per yard, making this the lowest of the organiser's three Backyard venues.
The estate setting encompasses varied terrain with wildflowers, animals, ponds and lakes. Support comes from the event team and volunteers throughout. The format has historically drawn many newcomers to Backyard Ultra racing, with over 80 percent of starters at previous editions tackling their first event of this type.
