About Red Bull Shakeout Run
Skyline Scotland 100K is a mountain running event around Fort William, covering approximately 106km with 6,350m of ascent across the Ben Nevis massif and surrounding peaks. The technical trail route incorporates 12 Munros, threading ridgelines including the grade 1 scramble on Càrn Mòr Dearg Arete, crossing Aonach Mor, Aonach Beag and the Grey Corries before running through the Mamores and Glen Nevis, finishing on forest trails at Nevis Range. The course is fully waymarked and marshalled, with participants required to follow the established route throughout.
Taking place over 19–20 September 2026, the event operates a 30 hour completion limit and is open to runners aged 18 and over. Navigation backup is mandatory, with options including map and compass, mobile phone with mapping, GPS watch or handheld GPS. Runners must carry additional kit as specified, and GPS trackers provided by organisers for safety and live tracking must remain attached. External assistance on course is not permitted. The race contributes to the UTMB index and is worth 5 ITRA points.
