About Red On 12
A 12 hour endurance challenge at Haydock Park Racecourse in Newton-le-Willows, Red On 12 invites runners to cover as much distance as possible over a fixed time period. Competitors lap a measured 5 km trail route repeatedly, with the goal of maximising distance rather than racing against the clock.
Entry options suit different preferences. Solo runners tackle the full 12 hours alone, while relay teams of three take turns on the course, with two teammates resting while one runs. Team categories are available for male, mixed and female combinations, plus a Tactical Team division that requires runners to wear a 10 kg vest. Pacing strategy and rotation timing become key elements of the challenge across both formats.
