About Remembrance Run
The Remembrance Run takes place on 8 November 2026 at Ferry Meadows in Peterborough, a country park located less than three miles from the city centre. Runners tackle a 5.3 km trail loop through forest, featuring gravel footpaths and grassy sections. Two timed options are available: a six-hour run starting at 9 am, or a four-hour run starting at 11 am. Participants complete as many laps as possible within their chosen time window, with the flexibility to rest between laps.
The loop format makes the event accessible for various distances. A standard half marathon consists of five laps, while nine laps covers an ultra marathon distance. All runners can adjust their lap count on the day based on time and ability. An aid station is stationed at the lap point, and the event welcomes first-time runners tackling their initial 5 km as well as experienced ultrarunners. Road trainers are generally suitable for the terrain, though trail shoes may be useful depending on conditions. Participants should bring their own bottle or cup for refilling at the aid station.
