About Riverside Half Marathon & 10K
The Riverside Half Marathon & 10K takes place in Lancaster on 16 August 2026, with runners choosing between a half marathon or 10 kilometre road race. Starting from Lancaster Quay near the George & Dragon, both distances follow the Lune Estuary Footpath, a largely traffic-free route that runs alongside the River Lune with views across the estuary. The course is certified and accurately measured.
Organised by Lancaster Runners Club as part of the Lancaster Race Series, the event runs under UK Athletics rules. Marshalled throughout, the route includes drinks stations and mile markers, with race headquarters based at the George & Dragon. All finishers receive a medal, and half marathon entrants also get an event t-shirt.
