About Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon
The Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon weekend takes place across 8 and 9 May in Leeds, honouring a city legend while bringing together runners of all abilities. Three distances cater to different preferences: the one-mile MND Mile, a marathon relay split across seven runners, and the full 26.2-mile marathon distance. All events are road-based and use the city as their backdrop.
Runners start and finish at AMT Headingley Stadium. The marathon and relay routes take in Leeds's outer suburbs and countryside, passing through areas including Otley and Adel. The MND Mile launches the weekend on the Saturday at Leeds Beckett University's Headingley Campus, designed as an inclusive community event open to all ages, wheelchair users and those with pushchairs.
The relay format divides the marathon distance among seven team members, each running between 2.4 and 5.5 miles. Finishers across all distances receive medals, with relay teams receiving personalised kit and trophies. The event includes an Event Village, pacers, and goody bags for participants.
