About Robin Challenge
Taking place on 8 October 2026, the Robin Challenge is a 6-hour timed trail event at Sence Valley Forestry Park near Ibstock in Leicestershire. Participants can run, hike, walk or ruck as many laps as they complete within the time limit around a 3.3-mile off-road loop. The course uses mainly crushed stone paths with some grass sections and includes climbs and descents; conditions can become muddy underfoot. Those aged 17 and over are welcome to enter, and the event is also open to canicross participants with dogs.
The venue offers facilities including a café and on-site toilets, with parking available. Loughborough train station is the nearest rail connection. For those unable to attend in person, a virtual participation option is available through a partner app. The event supports Roald Dahl's Marvellous Children's Charity and marks the return of the Robin Challenge, which last took place in 2019.
