About Roly's Run
The Meon Valley's trails take centre stage at Roly's Run, a memorial event held in honour of Rich Walklate. Starting and finishing at Swanmore Village Hall, participants can choose between 15 mile and 20 mile routes that explore the terrain surrounding Beacon Hill, Exton and Meonstoke. The landscape here is predominantly trail-based, featuring chalk paths, loose stones and tree roots with significant climbing throughout. Steep descents and sections prone to becoming challenging underfoot in wet conditions are part of the experience before runners return via the old railway line through Droxford.
Organised by Chalk and Mud Trail Running, the routes are marked with GPX files provided, and fully stocked checkpoints support participants along the way. Walkers are welcome on the shorter distance options.
