About Run Durham Hamsterley Remembrance Day 5 & 10 Miler
Both races start and finish at the Nest Car Park in the heart of Hamsterley Forest Drive, near Bishop Auckland. The 10-miler follows a single loop route with demanding early climbs across its first 5km before returning to base. The 5-miler takes an out-and-back format, featuring steady inclines towards the turnaround point followed by a gentler descent on the return leg through flatter terrain.
Run Durham is hosting these Remembrance Day races on 8 November 2026 across road terrain. Runners can choose between the two distances to suit their fitness and preference.
