About Run the Wild Half Marathon - Autumn Edition
Runners new to trail running and first-time half marathoners will find a supportive environment here, with participants grouped by ability and led by qualified Run Leaders who provide instruction throughout. The course follows approximately 13 miles across the Chiltern Hills near Aldbury, taking in undulating chalk hills and woodland with around 300 metres of ascent. Steeper sections are walked as needed, making the route accessible to those building their trail running confidence.
The half-day event runs on 10 October 2026 based at Church Farm Cafe in Dacorum, Hertfordshire. There's parking on site, plus rail access with the start about 15 minutes' walk from the station. A refreshment point sits roughly halfway around the course, and the venue offers a cafe, toilets and bag drop facilities. The event welcomes dogs when cani-cross equipment is used and is limited to 50 spaces.
