About Saints & Smugglers 100 Mile Challenge
A 100-mile trail challenge awaits in Cornwall this September, taking runners across the county's north and south coastlines over 26–27 September 2026. Starting and finishing at the Hannafore Hotel in Looe, the route must be completed within 39 hours and encompasses approximately 18,000 ft of elevation gain. The course crosses Cornwall twice, including two ferry crossings at Rock and Fowey.
This fully supported self-navigation event features seven feed stations or checkpoints with cut-offs along the way. Runners will be tracked via live GPS and must carry a mandatory kit list. Ferry passages are included during normal operating times; outside these hours, ferries will run as private hire with a maximum 15-minute turnaround. Purple Gecko Events organises the Saints & Smugglers 100 Mile Challenge, with the Hannafore Hotel hosting weekend activities alongside the race itself.
