About Salt Settlers Six Hour Race
Taking place on Saturday 3 October 2026 in the Lower Otter valley near Budleigh Salterton, the Salt Settlers Six Hour Race is a timed endurance event where runners and walkers complete as many loops as possible within the time limit. The 4.4 km looped course, based at Budleigh Salterton Cricket Club, features approximately 12 metres of ascent per lap and is run on trail terrain.
The event welcomes both solo entries and pairs relay entries. Support is provided at the aid station after each loop, and participants receive a commemorative memento. Facilities at the base include a café, bar and hot showers. Parts of the course can be underwater during high spring tides; the event is scheduled to avoid those periods.
