About Santa Claws 10km
Santa Claws takes place on Christmas Eve 2026, offering runners a 10 km trail run from Matthews Close in Thatcham. The route traverses local woodland and single-track footpaths across multi-terrain ground, with roughly 140 metres of elevation gain and approximately 75 percent off-road sections. An on-course water station provides refills along the way.
The event welcomes runners aged 16 and over, with a 2-hour cut-off time. Finishers receive a medal and a mince pie, with the finish line at the brewery providing additional festivities. Santa Claws also includes a Canicross category for the same 10 km distance, allowing runners to compete with their dogs. The event supports fundraising for Newbury Riding for the Disabled and PALS.
