About Santa & Elf Dash
This festive trail event takes runners through Cammo Nature Reserve in north west Edinburgh on 20 December 2026. The 5K and 10K courses wind through the reserve's varied terrain, following riverside paths and open fields whilst navigating narrow paths, steps and small wooden bridges. Winter conditions at this time of year mean the trails can be muddy or frosty underfoot.
Alongside the main distances, a shorter approximately 1K option is available for younger participants. Festive dress is encouraged, and the event supports Young Lives vs Cancer whilst also providing an opportunity for runners to donate food to the Edinburgh Food Project.
