SATURN's Remembrance Run takes place on 8 November across the Borough of Runnymede in Surrey, honouring those who made the ultimate sacrifice. The event incorporates a two minute silence, with two minutes removed from official times in recognition.
Structured as a seven hour time challenge on trail terrain, participants can choose their own distance across a fully signed loop course that runs along the River Thames. The route is approximately 7 km per lap, with laps counting towards standard distances including 5 km, 10 km, half marathon, marathon and 50 km options. About 60% of the course is on well made path or tarmac, with the remainder on grass and light trail that may be muddy; road shoes work year round, though trail shoes offer better grip. Walkers are welcome alongside runners.
Aid and drinks stations operate at the start and finish of each lap, offering savoury and sweet items, fruit, cheese and vegan options. Facilities at Runnymede Pleasure Grounds include toilets, changing facilities and a pay car park. Anyone completing at least 3 km receives a medal, with distance pins awarded for half marathon and longer distances. Finishers also receive a goody bag, with a vegan option available.
