About Sawtry 10 Mile
The Sawtry 10 Mile takes runners on a single-lap journey through Cambridgeshire's quieter roads, starting and finishing at Sawtry Village Academy. The 10-mile route winds through Sawtry, Hamerton and the surrounding countryside, passing Hamerton Wildlife Park and nearby woodland.
The course is gently undulating with approximately 360 feet of elevation gain, combining faster sections with gradual climbs across officially measured and licensed roads. Most traffic continues alongside runners, with a partial closure only around the start area. The race operates with chip timing and full marshalling support, including three water stations positioned along the route.
Part of the Cambridgeshire AA Road League, the event welcomes a broad range of abilities with a 2.5-hour cut-off time and an early start option available for those who need it. The race takes place on 6 September 2026.
