About Scafell Sky Race
The Scafell Sky Race takes runners across technical single-track trails in the central Lake District, with 38 km of fell running and 2800 m of ascent. The route winds through the Lakeland Fells and valleys before reaching the summit of Scafell Pike, starting from Lanty Slees Stickle Barn in the Great Langdale Valley.
Taking place on 5 June 2027, the race is fully marked with two manned feed stations positioned along the course. Electronic timing and tracking are provided, with a professional safety officer and supporting team on duty. Runners have up to twelve hours to complete the distance. The event is part of the Skyrunner® National Series for the UK and Ireland and is ranked by Skyrunning UK.
