About Scafell Sky Ultra
The Central and Southern Lake District provides the setting for this 63 km mountain skyrunning event, taking place on 5 June 2027. The Scafell Sky Ultra follows technical single-track trails across ridge-lines and includes England's highest summit, with 4400 m of total ascent to navigate. Runners have a maximum of 15 hours to complete the course, which is fully marked with four supplied feed stations and manned checkpoints. Electronic timing and tracking are provided throughout.
Part of the Skyrunner National Series for the UK and Ireland, the event is open to individuals aged 19 and older. The race base at Lanty Slees Stickle Barn hosts live music from mid-day onwards, and finishers receive a seed bomb medal designed to be planted after the event.
