About Scare Bear Run | North
Runners of all abilities can take on the Scare Bear Run on 11 October at Durham Amateur Rowing Club. This seven-hour timed trail challenge lets participants choose their own distance, with laps of 7 km available to complete as many or as few times as desired. Whether aiming for a 3 km warm-up, 5 km, 10 km, half marathon, marathon, ultra or the full 50 km, everyone finishes with a themed medal and goody bag.
The event suits those who want flexibility over pace and distance. A fuel table operates at the start and finish of each lap, and runners can use the 3 km and 5 km turnaround points within the route to customise their effort. Special distance pins are awarded for half marathon distances and longer.
