About Scorton Feast Memorial 10K
Rooted in Scorton's annual Feast celebrations, the Scorton Feast Memorial 10K takes runners around the scenic Scorton Lakes on a largely flat trail route through North Yorkshire countryside. Starting and finishing at the Football Field on Banks Lane, the 10 kilometre course weaves through a mixture of paths and trails, incorporating a small lap before returning to the village. The race takes place on 16 August 2026.
The event supports two local charities—Target Ovarian Cancer and Herriot Hospice Homecare—with proceeds contributing to the wider Feast festival. Finishers receive refreshments including a hot drink and cake, and prizes are awarded after the race. Chip timing and distance markers help runners navigate the lakeside setting.
