About Scouts Honour Backyard Ultra
A 7 km trail loop through open fields and shaded woodland forms the backbone of this backyard ultra at Worsley Park in Salford on 31 July 2027. The terrain is flat and runnable, moving between open ground and tree-lined trails. Runners tackle the same course repeatedly, starting a fresh loop every hour on the hour; those who complete their loop in time progress to the next, while others step away. The race continues until only one runner remains.
The event is capped at 120 athletes. Support includes drinks, snacks and water available throughout, and competitors can set up a rest area on site. Anyone exceeding 100 miles receives a unique one-off t-shirt, with prize money awarded to the overall winner.
