About Scurry to the Sea
Scurry to the Sea takes runners on a 12 mile trail journey from the Pentlands down to the coast near Edinburgh on 25 July 2027. The route opens with a short hill climb to the top of Allermuir before descending toward the sea, combining cross country sections, urban orienteering and road running across varied terrain. Viewpoints along the way offer views of Edinburgh and the surrounding landscape.
The course finishes on the sandy beach at Musselburgh, making for an unconventional ending to a run that mixes natural surfaces with urban navigation and coastal running.
