About Sea 2 Summit - Offa's Dyke Half/Full/Ultra
Sea 2 Summit - Offa's Dyke offers three trail running options across the Clwydian Hills on 6 December 2026. The half marathon covers 13.1 miles, the full marathon 26.2 miles, and the ultra distance extends to 55.5 km. All routes begin at Prestatyn seafront and follow the Offa's Dyke National Trail southward, with finishes at different summits: Moel y Parc for the half, Moel Gyw for the full, and Horseshoe Pass for the ultra.
The terrain is challenging and conditions are typically winter, so all participants must carry mandatory kit including waterproofs, hat, gloves, a spare thermal layer, foil blanket, route map, whistle, and at least 500 ml of water at the start. Checkpoints are positioned at Mynydd y Cwm (11 km), Grove Hall Bodfari (20 km), Bwlch Penbarras (41 km), and Llandegla (48 km). GPS tracking and route maps support navigation throughout. Coach travel is available from the finish to locations including Bodfari, Clwyd Gate, and Horseshoe Pass. The event is based at Prestatyn Nova Centre.
