About Secret Santa Series
The Secret Santa Series takes runners into the Black Mountains of the Brecon Beacons National Park for a winter trail event. Held from Tretower Village Hall in Powys on 5 December 2026, the event offers 10 mile and 13.1 mile trail routes that follow sections of the Beacons Way. Runners should expect technical terrain including rocky paths, boggy moorland, narrow single-track trails and forest sections.
The course features checkpoints and two refuel zones stocked with options to suit various dietary requirements. A full medical team and mobile medical unit will be on site throughout the event, which has an eight-hour cut-off time. Mandatory kit must be checked at registration, including waterproof jacket and trousers, race vest, waterproof capacity, map or GPX file, telephone, hat, gloves, appropriate footwear, first aid kit, foil blanket and whistle. Dogs on leads are welcome to run with their owners.
