About Serious Santa - A War of Attrition
On 5 December 2026, Serious Santa takes runners into the Brecon Beacons for a trail running event with three distance options: 10 miles, a half marathon and 14 kilometres. Starting from Cwmdu Village Hall near Crickhowell in Powys, all routes head west towards Bwlch Mountain following the Beacons Way before splitting on Mynydd Llangorse. The half marathon takes in Cockit Hill with views across to the lake and central Beacons, then climbs back to mountain trails towards Cefn Moel. The 10-mile and 14-kilometre routes follow the same initial path but turn around earlier depending on distance. All courses are fully marked with back runners for safety.
An 8-hour cut-off applies. Two refuel zones are positioned along the routes with refreshments and support staff. Finishers receive mulled wine and a mince pie.
