About Seven Sisters Half Marathon
A 13.5 mile trail race through the South Downs National Park, the Seven Sisters Half Marathon takes runners on a single loop from Eastbourne through Friston Forest, woodland, and the iconic Seven Sisters cliffs before returning to the start. Taking place on 29 May 2027, the course gains approximately 2,000 feet of ascent and descent across terrain that is 99% trail with minimal tarmac, described as runnable rather than technical. The fully signed and waymarked route starts and finishes at Helen Garden in Eastbourne.
The event is open to all runners with no qualification needed, and entry is offered on a first come, first served basis. One aid station is positioned along the course, and runners receive live chip timing and downloadable race photos. First aid and medical cover are provided on the day.
