About Skipton Sweetie Skedaddle
A 10 km trail run follows the Leeds and Liverpool Canal near Aireville Park in Skipton. The course is largely flat, hugging the waterside towpath with views across the canal throughout. The route operates as either an out-and-back or lapped format, with the trail clearly marked and supported by marshals along the way.
The race takes place on 6 February 2027, starting from The Leaf & Bean Vegetarian Cafe. It's licensed by the Trail Running Association and run under UK Athletics rules. Road shoes are suggested for the compact trail and towpath terrain. All finishers receive a bespoke medal and post-race treats. A 6.5 hour cut-off applies, and participants should bring a reusable cup or bottle as the event operates a cup-less policy.
