About small park BIG RUN Marshals
A 24-hour trail running and walking event takes place in Meersbrook Park, Sheffield, across the weekend of 19-20 June 2027. Small Park Big Run combines continuous movement over the terrain with a programme of cultural and solidarity activities supporting Palestine. The Palestine Voices Tent is a focal point, hosting talks and screenings including an evening film about imprisonment and a shared Palestinian breakfast with a screening of Freedom to Run.
Family activities run alongside the main route, from lantern workshops and after-dark walks through the woods to craft sessions, face painting, and a children's timed fun run. A mini football activity called 3 3 Palestine offers skill stations with badges and certificates. The weekend also features a communal singaround at the closing ceremony, short films shown on a big screen, a solidarity supper, buskers along the course, and refreshments available from the Walled Garden cafe.
