About Snowdonia Trail Marathon Eryri Events
Snowdonia Trail Marathon Eryri brings trail running to the heart of Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park across two days in July. Based in Llanberis, the event draws runners to rugged terrain that winds through forest tracks and steep climbs, with routes passing landmarks including Yr Wyddfa, Rhyd Ddu, Beddgelert, Nant Gwynant and Pen y Pass.
The 10 km distance sits alongside longer marathon and ultra marathon options, with both longer races recognised by ITRA and UTMB. The event village offers food, shopping and kit demonstrations, while on-course marshals, energy stations and support vehicles guide runners through the mountain landscape. Chip timing and live results tracking are provided. The Jones o Gymru Dolbadarn Dash, a 500 m kids fun run, runs alongside the main event, and family finishes are incorporated into the programme. All event operations run bilingually in English and Welsh.
