About South Cheshire 20
South Cheshire Harriers hosts this 20 mile road race, which forms part of the North Staffs Road Runners Association series. Starting outside Shavington Leisure Centre on 6 September 2026, the single lap route travels through countryside surrounding the Shavington and Crewe area, passing through Weston, Englesea Brook, Betley, Wrinehill, Audley and Barthomley before returning to finish on the sports field.
The course is characterised by undulating and frequently hilly terrain along mainly quiet country lanes, making it a demanding endurance test. Many runners use the race as preparation for autumn marathons. The route is measured, marshalled and supported by water stations throughout.
