About Soyland Moor Fell Race
CraggRunner's Soyland Moor Fell Race takes runners across 13.5 miles of moorland in the Calderdale hills on 8 November 2026. Starting and finishing at the Hinchliffe Arms in Cragg Vale, the trail route climbs steeply from the pub towards Sunderland Pasture, passes Stoodley Pike, follows the moor along the Pennine Way and crosses Cragg Vale Road before heading towards Great Manshead Hill. The course includes approximately 1300 feet of ascent.
The race is run under UKA rules and is licensed with both the Trail Running Association and the Fell Runners Association. Full FRA kit is required, including waterproof jacket with hood, waterproof trousers, hat and gloves, paper map, whistle, compass, a spare layer, and food and water. Runners must visit checkpoints in order and follow the marked map route. The minimum age for entry is 17 years.
