About Space Oddity
Space Oddity takes runners into Hurn Forest for a 5.3 km trail race on 26 March 2027. Based at Hospital Services Cricket Club in St Leonards, the course follows the main forest track on a well-maintained hardstanding surface, making it accessible to those without specialist trail shoes.
The event operates on a lap system, allowing participants to choose their distance on the day from a single lap upwards. RunDMC aid station provides refreshments at the start and finish of each lap, and the cricket club offers bag drop, toilets and a clubhouse. All finishers receive a medal inspired by David Bowie's Space Oddity theme.
