About Speyside Way 50K & 100K
The Speyside Way races take runners through Highland terrain that mixes trail, road and forestry routes across Scotland's whisky country. The 50K route begins at Tamdhu Distillery and follows the Speyside Way through renowned distillery towns before tackling the challenging ascent of Ben Aigen. From there, runners navigate road sections to Fochabers, then winding trail back down to the coast at Spey Bay, finishing with forestry trails into Buckie town centre.
The 100K distance extends the journey significantly, starting in Aviemore and following the Cairngorms Speyside Way before joining the 50K route at Tamdhu Distillery to complete the same finish. Both races take place on 15 August 2026, starting from The Glen Apartments in Aviemore. The event carries over three decades of history, having first run in 1994.
