About Speyside Way Ultras
Mid-August 2027 sees the Speyside Way Ultras take place, with two trail-based ultramarathon options starting from Buckie Baptist Church in Moray. Runners can choose between a 50 km route or a more demanding 100 km distance, both finishing on the Moray coast.
The 50 km course follows the Speyside Way through whisky country, featuring a climb at Ben Aigen before a coastal finish. The 100 km option adds an extra mountainous section from Aviemore to Tamdhu Distillery before joining the longer route to the coast. Cutoff times are 10 hours for the 50 km and 18 hours for the 100 km. Participants must be aged 18 or over. Full route details and GPX files are provided to competitors ahead of the race.
