About Springtide 50k
Springtide 50k takes runners on a single-loop trail ultra through West Sussex's South Downs National Park. Starting and finishing at Arundel Football Club on 3 April 2027, the 50 km route winds through Houghton Forest, Eartham Wood, Findon, Angmering Park and Wepham Woods before returning along the River Arun toward Arundel Castle. Almost entirely trail-based with brief road sections, the course climbs just over 3,000 feet and is described by the organisers as runnable with largely non-technical terrain.
The route is waymarked throughout and features live GPS tracking and chip timing, with four staffed aid stations positioned on course. Runners must be at least 20 years old to enter, and no qualifier is required. The event is registered as an ARC permit race and holds UTMB Index status, worth 2 ITRA points.
