About Squirrel Challenge
The Squirrel Challenge takes place on 4 February 2027 at Daventry Country Park in West Northamptonshire. This six-hour timed trail event invites runners, hikers and ruckers to complete as many laps as they wish of a roughly 3.3 mile off-road loop. The course follows pathways and crushed stone surfaces, with organisers noting that approximately 80% should provide good running underfoot. Canicross entries are welcome.
Participants can target various distances within the six-hour window: four laps covers a half marathon distance, while eight laps equates to a marathon. The venue includes a large car park, cafe, toilet facilities on the route and a children's play area. The park is roughly 20 minutes from M1 Junction 16, with Long Buckby the nearest railway station.
