About St David's Day Run
Running through Cardiff's Bute Park on St Davids Day, this road race celebrates Welsh culture with distances to suit all abilities. The St Davids Day Run takes place on 6 March 2027 from Coopers Field, offering 1.5 km, 5 km, 10 km and 13.1 mile options. The 5 km route covers one lap of the park, while the 10 km spans two and a half laps, with the half marathon completing just over four laps, giving runners the chance to build up split times as they go.
The event supports two Welsh charities, Cancer Research Wales and Kidney Wales, with proceeds from entries donated to both organisations. Participants are encouraged to dress in celebration of Wales and run in support of the causes. All finishers receive chip timing and a medal.
