About St Ives Bay 10K & Fun Run
Taking place on 6 August 2026, the St Ives Bay 10K is a trail race organised by Hayle Runners on the Cornish coast near Hayle. The event forms Round 2 of the Cornwall Multi Terrain Series and runs under UKA rules. A separate 1 mile beach fun run for under 16s takes place before the main race.
The 10K route begins on the beach and progresses inland towards Godrevy Lighthouse before heading into the Towans dune system. The course weaves across beach running, sandy trails and undulating dune paths, including a notable feature known as the Dune of Doom, before returning along the beach to finish. A 5 km option is also available. Facilities include changing areas, toilets and a water station; as a cupless event, runners should bring their own reusable cup.
