About St Valentine's 30k
St Valentine's 30K is Stamford Striders' flagship event, held annually on the Sunday closest to Valentine's Day. The 2027 edition marks the 33rd running of this nationally recognised 30km road race, taking place on 14 February at Stamford Welland Academy in South Kesteven, Lincolnshire, with the race starting at 11:00.
Known as a testing course, the event attracts runners preparing for spring marathons. Stamford Striders organises the race with a reputation for enthusiastic marshals and efficient organisation. Entrants must be 18 or over, and the race typically sells out well ahead of the date. Runners can opt to donate to Trees Not Tees instead of receiving a race shirt, or choose both options.
Those entering as a Valentine Pair—two runners in a relationship—are eligible for a couple's prize and receive a box of chocolates. A transfer system allows runners to move their place to another participant if needed.
