About Staffs Knot 5 Miler and Fun Run
The Staffs Knot 5 Miler and Fun Run takes place on Cannock Chase in Staffordshire as part of the NSRRA race series. Based at Cannock Chase Visitors Centre near Hednesford, the event offers two distances: a main 5 mile trail race and a 2 mile fun run. The 5 mile course uses a mix of trails and woodland pathways that can be muddy and wet, while the fun run sticks to tarmac or gravel surfaces, though mud may be present on parts of the route. The course was officially measured and certified in 2017.
The 5 mile race is chip timed with live results and offers individual, team and age-group prizes, alongside trophies for the first under-19 male and female runners. All main race finishers receive a bespoke medal and a Purity Point Five low alcohol beer, while fun run participants also receive a medal. The event is held under a UK Athletics race licence.
