About Stanhope 10 Miler
The Stanhope 10 Miler takes runners through the Durham Dales on a route that demands fitness and determination. Starting from Stanhope, the course climbs steeply towards Bollihope before crossing open moorland and returning to finish at Stanhope Showfield. Approximately 90% of the 10-mile course is road-based, with the remaining distance on grass and trail.
Organised as a non-profit event, the race supports local charities and provides marshalled roads, water stations, distance markers, baggage storage and first aid cover. Registration happens at Stanhope Showfield Agricultural Shed, with separate starts for walkers and runners. The event takes place on 23 August 2026.
