About Sticklepath Horseshoe
A 16 km fell race in the heart of West Devon, the Sticklepath Horseshoe takes place on 7 August 2027 based from the Devonshire Inn. The course features 519 metres of climbing across trail terrain and sits in the FRA's BM category, making it a genuinely challenging proposition suited to experienced fell runners rather than those new to the discipline.
Competitors must be aged 18 or over and should be comfortable with map and compass navigation. Full body cover in line with FRA requirements is mandatory, and carrying an emergency foil blanket is recommended. The race has a permit and is covered by UK Athletics insurance. Entry is available both before the event and on the day, with numbers limited to 50 places.
