Those drawn to trail running through historic countryside will find the Stour Valley Path 100 a distinctive challenge. This point-to-point ultra follows almost the entire Stour Valley Path through Constable Country in eastern England, passing landscapes that inspired painters including John Constable and Thomas Gainsborough. The SVP100 route covers roughly 100 km between Newmarket and Cattawade along predominantly trail (95%) with modest elevation: 912 m gain and 957 m loss.
On 7 August 2027, runners can choose between the full 102 km distance or the 50 km option, which includes 730 m gain and 760 m loss. Both routes follow well-marked public footpaths. The 100 km has a 15.5 hour cutoff and the 50 km a 9.5 hour cutoff. Finishers in both distances earn UTMB Index points, and the race awards prizes to male and female winners plus a team prize based on the fastest three club members combined.
