About Stour Valley Path 100km and 50km
Two ultra-distance trail events follow the Stour Valley Path through Suffolk and Essex on 7 August 2027. The SVP100 covers almost the entire 100km length of this well-marked footpath, running from Newmarket to Cattawade near Manningtree, making it one of East Anglia's longest point-to-point races. The shorter SVP50 takes in the second half of the route, starting from Sudbury and finishing at Cattawade.
The path traces the landscape of the Stour Valley, an area that has long inspired artists and writers. Both races are accessible from across East Anglia, London, the East Midlands and Stansted Airport by car, train or coach.
